There is always a chance whatever you are looking at not be whatever you are thinking of. The proper “lighting” is some times required to see the reality.

This proper lighting can be knowledge, science, experience, faith, or simply the good old sun. Take your pick!

P.S. I’m seriously missing fun photo shoot walks. Can’t wait for the Spring to come!

I Must Admit that I was about to break a bone for this one. The Icy rain makes wonderful scenery, casting everything in ice, including your steep driveway that you have to walk on to get to the street level to make this photo on the other side. Got lucky this time!

This was a test shot I took with a Tamron 28-200mm f3.8 XR IF (62mm). I had it on my Minolta and was happy for BW photography. I did not like it on my Canon, and just sent it back a few days ago. The picture quality was poor and the CA was awful!

Finally me and my old time pal, Minolta Maxxum 7000, got reunited and man I missed that camera for so long! It was a pretty dumb idea to exclude it from my baggage when we left our country. Well, who cares? I have it in my hands now!

Fired it up, and noticed there is a tiny bleed on the LCD. Loaded a film cartridge and headed to one of my shooting destinations, the Ault park. There I found this lady painting. This time however, I walked to her and asked for permission to shoot a few photos rather than to sneak with telephoto.

This came out to be my favorite out of a few shots. Hope you enjoy it too!

This is one of the typical subjects I love to shoot: Shooting the shooter. Weather permitting, I usually bump into a few of these over the weekends I go for street photography. Among them all, this particular one is my favorite.

What I’m pretty sure is that there will be a ton of post-processing before the photo being handed over to the customer. No, nothing is wrong with that of course!

My point of view? Well, back in the old days, people used to look a whole lot better that their photos. The digital age made it the other way…

Took this one from a friend while doing calligraphy on university’s world fest  this spring. I believe this the way that sometimes we see the truth, through a reflection with added colors and a little bit curvy. In general, not the real thing. The one spiced up – or down – with our perceptions, judgments and fantasies.

Some times gotta get close, real close to see the truth…
